Hey girls, I thought I would introduce myself again Hopefully this is what I am suppose to do and I'm not doing something wrong.
I'm Mackenzie and I got to the AIS Budapest. I am a 16 year old junior and this is my 2nd THIMUN conference and my 3rd MUN conference. I play 3 sports with the school and 2 rec sports and I also sing, dance and act. I get involved with pretty much everything in my school. I only speak English and I like all types of music. I am really excited to work with you guys

Hi, my name is Ai (please call me Amy)and I am the chair of GA3 for THIMUN 2009. I'm currently a senior at Kumon Kokusai Gakuen in Yokohama, Japan.

This will be my third and last THIMUN; I first came as a delegate two years ago and sat in GA4, last year I was appointed Assistant President of ECOSOC.

I think we have four pretty interesting topics and there seems to be loads of research available. This thread is for delegates who want to introduce themselves. For topic discussions, please go to the designated threads. We'll be keeping an eye on the discussion threads to make sure that things are going in the right direction and that you're all being nice to each other. If anyone wants to ask any questions, please feel free to get in touch with me or the other chairs.

We particularly want to welcome newcomers to THIMUN. When I first came as a delegate, I spent much of the debates sitting stuck behind a post so that the chair couldn't see me....

My name is Tessa and I'll be one of your deputy chairs. I am a senior at the American School of the Hague and am Dutch. This will be my third THIMUN; in 2007 I was a delegate in ECOSOC and in 2008 I was a delegate in the Security Council. I look forward to reading your discussions on the topics in the forum and to meeting you at THIMUN in January.

My name is Jaya Magdalena and I'm from the Hermann Billung Gymnasium in Germany, but I will represent Vanuatu with the Marion-Dönhoff-Gymnasium. I know this sounds weird.
Well I'm 17 years old and this will be my 3rd Thimun. The last years I was Luxembourg and Sweden both in DC2. So this will be my first year in the GA and I'm really excited. (:
I'm from Germany and I'm half German, half Indian.
I'm looking forward to meet you all in The Hague in January.

Hey,

I'm Diana Baranga from Romania, living in Tanzania and representing Togo! This will be the second conference I will be attending (yet the first as ambassador). My first time at THIMUN was last year as a delegate of Saint Lucia and, since I enjoyed it a lot (great experience) I thought I'd give it another go . Just as a short summary: I enjoy many sports (especially basketball), music (nearly all types- yes, even classical) yet, I'll have to admit, my favorite hobby is reading hehehh. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you sooner than January (hopefully through e-mail, facebook, msn) so that we not only get to share opinions but put our minds together to make resolutions that will answer the issue being debated in such a way to accommodate (as much as possible) all countries of the UN!

I'm Lauren and I'm a senior at the Frankfurt International School in Germany, so sadly this is my last THIMUN conference... I've been to two other conferences, one of them being last year's THIMUN (my first conference)- I went to Royal Russel this year- so anybody who remembers me- what's up? haha
I'm representing the delegation of Slovakia this year, and I'm prety sure I'm writing my resolution on developing strategies to address the effects of the increasing cost of food, especially in LED's- btw, if anybody would like to discuss their reso, or mine, thats cool
Following the examples of others... I speak three languages, German, Spanish and English, I also play varsity volleyball and tennis and I write for the student newspaper I started.
I'm really looking forward to the intense debates.... and awesome clubing going down this year at THIMUN!

nyways im from the Britihs International School of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia but im originally Pakistani however i have lived in Saudi for 16 years, which is practically my whole life. I love soccer, its my life im in the varsity soccer, table tennis and basketball team. Im also the secretary of our school council. Im 18 and am Irish and have lived here for fourteen years, I was born in Brussels and lived there for four years for your information because Im aware you were all dying to know, So i speak a little French and fluent Irish and English.
This is my second THIMUN conference, I was USA last year in GA2 and I would hate to do it again coz this year they are going to get abused. Fresh after my hat trick at Royal Russell MUN I am pumped for this conference, for those of you who have never been you have no idea how good it actually is, as long of course as you have no curfew and you actually go out. I chose this committee because I like new challenges and because I knew you would all be cool.
I follow pretty much every sport and am big into music, at the moment Im feeling anything by Sander Van Doorn mixed in tehre with the classic artists like Mos Def, Immortal Tehchnique and Talib Kweli.

Hey man do you remember my(I should really say our but myself and Latvia wrote most of it, however it was a team effort) resolution that pwned and was going to GA and then they wouldnt take one from our committee due to time constraints? I was actually angry for once, needless to say I am dying to speak in GA this year!
